Where Teable 3.0 Wins
Real database, not a spreadsheet pretending to be one. PostgreSQL underneath means you get referential integrity, the option to query directly, and a self-hosted path that doesn’t feel like an afterthought.
AI that’s actually embedded in the workflow. Batch content generation and AI-populated fields aren’t a chatbot sidebar — they operate on your actual rows and columns, which is where the time savings show up.
Migration is now a real feature, not a manual chore. Pulling structure and data from Airtable or spreadsheets directly is the kind of thing that turns “we should switch” into “we actually switched.”

Where It Falls Short
Third-party integration ecosystem is still thin. Teable’s own team has acknowledged this is an area still maturing — if your workflow depends on a long list of niche integrations, check the list before committing.
Less polished than Airtable in places. It’s catching up fast, and 3.0 closes a lot of the gap, but a few corners of the interface still feel less refined than the more established competitor.

Teable 3.0 is a legitimate step up, not a version-number refresh.
